DIGITAL X-RAY
Our practice is equipped with a state-of-the-art digital X-ray machine (Orthophos Sirona XG). This advanced technology offers significant advantages:
Digital radiography requires only a fraction of conventional radiation. This ensures that the patient is exposed to a lower dose.
Digital X-ray images are very detailed and of better quality than conventional X-ray images and can be viewed immediately in the treatment room. The images can easily be forwarded to the general dentist.
In addition, digital radiography is much more environmentally friendly than conventional X-ray technique because it works without film and toxic processing chemicals.In our practice, we have decided not to use DVT (digital volume tomography), because its radiation is higher than that of digital X-ray while diagnostic advantages are minimal compared to digital radiography in orthodontic therapy.
